I did this painting with acrylic on wood. It is reminiscent of Kara Walker's work, but I was not thinking about that at all when I did this (although I love her work and respect her very much). I actually just used some images I found on the Internet and put them together into a new composition. This painting was a Christmas present for a friend.

Religious Art: Arcrylic on Canvas

This portrait of the Late Pope John Paul the II was done by me for one of my best friends, Justin Braun, who is admirably in his 5th year at the Pontifical College Joshephinum.

I did this painting of the Virgin and Child for my sister Abby's birthday present. Myself and others particularly like the eyes of Mary in this painting. I enjoy doing religious art because of my deep love for the Catholic Church.

Watercolor Paintings

These are watercolor paintings that I did for a few friends of mine. They are each roughly 3 ft X 5 ft. The first, is my own rendition of a photograph of John Bonham (drummer for Led Zepplin). The second I named after the friend I did it for, Alex. He is a great guy and also makes great tea. The third inlcudes an image of Virgin Mary as she has been represented as The Virgin as Apocalyptic Woman with a crescent moon and the earth beneath her feet. It is set in a scene I had previously drawn up at a live Souleverlift concert. I consider myself a sort of Surrealist since go about painting and drawing using automatic drawing as a means of expressing the subconscious ( a form of art making developed by surrealists). I use music as a means to help me release thought and express whatever otherwise would be repressed.

CD Cover Art

This image is of the album Boxers on the Outside. It was produced by my outstanding friend Brian Stark. The group is Starfunk and the Renegade Lightning production and it is awesome (check it out on Cdbaby.com). I did the artwork for this album. It was done with watercolor, crayon, and sharpie marker! My media of choice is watercolor painting. I plan on posting other albums I have done the artwork for as well as my personal art works.

I am in the business to do art for albums, so if you are in need of your album to look awesome just send me an e-mail!
